When it comes to travel, there’s so many little things you may not know about that someone who’s been there, done that may be able to give some insight on. That’s why even the experienced travelers are active on social media pages- There’s always something more to learn, and some of my favorite travel inspirations often come from the groups and pages I follow on social media. So, I wanted to share my favorites on Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter with you in hopes of giving you some extra travel inspiration for 2020!
While there are newer social media platforms, I still prefer old faithful. Facebook is still one of my favorite platforms to get my inspiration with pages such as these!
While this is a brand-new page I personally launched for 2020 I’m expecting it to grow quickly! Here anyone in the group can share their travel stories, tips for the places they’ve visited, travel memes, or ask questions to learn more great things about an upcoming trip. I’m hoping this page becomes an inspiration and support network for new travelers!
This may be one of my favorite groups and have almost a million members! They also have several other groups such as GLT 35+ and GLT Foodie. Their topics range from recommendations, advice, travel stories, but it’s mostly just a place where women can come together and share their experiences and receive support from fellow travelers. I’ve seen more than one person share a personal story of being afraid to travel and crediting the group for helping them achieve their travel goals. They also host events where fellow GLT members can meet in person.
This is a private group with over 35k members. This page offers lots of answers to different concerns, recommendations, and a chance to share their views on travel.
The Solo Female Traveler Network
This group has a little over 300k followers. You’ll find lots of travel photos and experiences from people who travel a lot and just a little sprinkled in with some travel advice as well. You can always get some extra inspiration and motivation from this group!
While it is a smaller public group, this page allows you to post links to your own blogs as well as share you travel stories and photos! Even for being a smaller page the people following it are pretty active within the group. Great place to find new blogs to follow as well!
Supernatural Travel Group
Are you a fan of the supernatural? Maybe just a little curious? This private group allows its members to post the strange and mysterious all around the world to discuss or even to help plan a trip to visit! While they don’t post regularly, you can still find some creepy inspiration to get you motivated to see the strange and mysterious.
As a diver, I love this private page so much! This is a good size group that shows off amazing photos and stories from dive sites all over the world! If you are curious about diving and would like to get into it you will receive the support and motivation here! They also have another group called Girls That Free Dive.
Super cute private group with a good beginner following! Page followers can post questions and fun articles about travel and travel-related topics. (I just saw the cutest world map lamps!) It’s a very cute group that I’m looking forward to seeing become even more popular in 2020!
Have children and still want to travel? This is the PERFECT page to find all the resources you will need to get on the road and show your kids the world! This is a private group and you will need to answer member questions to be accepted but its worth taking the couple minutes to do so.
This is a fantastic page for any woman wishing to experience the great outdoors! Packed full of supportive followers and interesting information, if you have been looking for hiker groups this is the one to follow.
A super cute private group with 63000+ followers, girls who travel lets its members ask any question they like without worrying about feeling stupid.
While I am not an active RVer I have been thinking really hard about doing it for a couple years now. This page has helped me learn what it really takes to live the life of a full time RVer.
Its especially a great place for beginners!
Most people still don’t think about searching twitter for travel advice, but the truth is, if you get involved with a few key pages and hashtags you will open a whole new world of travel information in real time! While I will admit, I’m not as active on Twitter as I should be, you can find some great pages to follow by using the #traveltribe to search for your own, and you can check out these pages!
